No resistance on the lift pump lever.

When I work the priming lever on my lift pump on my 92 donor engine, there is very little resistance. Is this normal if there is no fuel in the system? I assume it is just working the diaphragm but it seems like I should feel some resistance.

To repeat. There is no fuel in the lines.

fuel makes a difference and rotation of the engine too, put fuel in it and then try it or turn the engine over a little then try it

Thanks, I was just reading BC's sticky on the piston pump. Since the side of my engine is wide open, I may do the conversion. I have heard that the diaphragm will not hold up to my homebrew fuel. I need to call around on the parts.
