new seats

finally got both of em hooked up. for the last couple months, any passenger had to either sit on the toolbox, or on the seat on the floor. they're much happier now though.

please excuse the mess. kinda been that way for a while now.

thanks guys. the seats came out of a toyota mr2. super comfy and adjustable in about a brazillian ways.

not much fabbing at all, actually. i definitely did it the easy way though. i'd like to put some sheet on the side to kind of hide everything and keep everything from falling out. next will be some kind of center console that will have a drawer or two, lots of storage, and fold down into some form of a seat.

Those side bolsters will come in handy when encountering high speed corners.

Are you sitting closer to the floor with these seats? I am 6'5" and want to drop my butt at least 6" closer to the floor. At night I have to duck to see under the factory tint line. Without the high beams on, its hard to see through it.

Also if you can generally describe what kind of fab you had to do.

Thanks
Van

actually, i'm sitting a bit higher. only because that's how i built them though. could prolly make them sit at least six inches lower than stock though. i just built a frame and legs out of 1.5x1.5x1/8 angle. pretty darn simple. i'll take some pics and try to get them up later.

I`ve got factory ,lumbar seats /with consloe, yours look pretty much like mine! Mine the back ajusts , the only thing passengers seat dont move forward and backward, only the back adjusts on that one.
I have a club cab and built a sleeper behind the seats and have room under that for storage + console +glove box.
yse them all when on a trip makes it pretty handy ,and not a lot of stuf rolling around the cab, OH forgot also have storage under drivers seat,Keep extra receivers ,***** and electrical hookups in that one (everything for towing but chains to tie down stuff.

thos are some nice seats. i bet they are great on the back!

but from your pictures it looks like you put the drivers side seat on the pasanger side, and the pasanger seat in the drivers spot!

they're from japan. my driver seat is actually supposed to go on the other side (in japan), so it has all the fancy controls and adjustments (lumbar, bolsters, up/down, etc.) my passenger seat doesn't have any of that stuff. it is leather, but i'm pretty happy with having adjustments. kinda just cobbled the whole thing together because a matching US set is pretty darn expensive.
