New pyro gauge installed in dash, video
Just finished the install the other day. Mounted the pyro and boost gauge in the dash. Will have pictures sometime, i was able to mount everything with orgional hardware from the dummie lights!
Glad i finally go around to installing it, because i've really been lucky without them so far.

1200* is nothing. On my old pulling truck I'd bury the needle at 1600* and it'd take a while to come off. This was with a decent set of twins. He looked like he could have kept going in the video though.

Yeah that motor winds up pretty good. In the video i was going about 60 and went to approx 85 when i backed off, traffic wouldn't allow any more.
i've had it to 100+ and without my foot in the floor. Otherwise i'll see 1500* in about 4 to 5 seconds and the boost will stay right at 30#. if i back off to about 20# it seems to accelerates faster at the higher rpms.
Weird thing is when i hit 1500 it hits some sort of governor and shuts fuel off, or maybe thats a subconscious thing i do with my foot. The one plus side i do notice is when i back off the temp drops to about half, i'd like to see how the rpms relate once i get some tach hooked up. I like the tooth counting idea, the alternator mount seems inaccurate to me because of belt slip under acceleration. It would be nice to get a balancer with a built in mag and just mount a sensor next to it.
Thanks brandon, it really came out nice i think. Also yeah i can only imagine what i was seeing before when it was hitting 35# with a black cloud billowing out the tail pipe.
I agree with you 95ram i have something in the works, just need a few more parts and pieces.
