new looking at purchase ????

ok I am looking at a 1993 250w CC auto trans.
test drove it, and at 30-35 mph it started shaken real bad not in the sterring wheel, any ideas? could this be caused from a sloppy joint at the steering box.shaft.. It is very sloppy..

the heater turns on for like 5 seconds, the air comes out the dash vents hot, then it slowly stops and only comes out the lower vents cold, any ideas

also after 15min of warm up try to go into reverse ,it almost seams that the trans is sliping and then all the sudden goes into motion. PS I did let it warm up for 4min in neutral... any ideas...

thier is no rust, it has 209,000 miles clean body he wnats 4K but is a friend and will let me make payments....want to see what you all think...

I have been looking at the forum for days, when I found out I might be getting this rig... what a great site....
Thanks Brad

That's too much for a truck that needs a trans.

No, it sounds like the direct clutch is toast.

Check the sticky for tranny info. BC847 has a great writeup with pics of a rebuild. Check the fluid. I think wanna is right.

Heater could be vacuum leak or poorly functioning blend doors.

Front shaking? Rear? Could be any number of things. Brake rotors/drums, bearings, ball joints/kingpins, bad tire........

4k sounds high......Do some research at kbb.com or nada.com to find top value, then deduct cost for repairs, then you'll get an idea of what it's really worth.
