Roy3 welcome to DTR. The truck looked good but now it looks fantastic. Congratulations. Just a warning if you hang out here much the need for power will get ya. These guys will inflict you with the need for speed, and more power. No you couldn't find a better bunch to hang out with. I've been on here 3 months or so and they go out of there way to help. Great bunch and thanks to all. Again congrats Roy3. Good luck outta the ole girl.

Man that looks sharp. All it needs is some paint for those wheels!

Yeah I would love to paint my truck myself but I got a feeling that would just be a bad and costly idea

the 2nd time i did it i did it in my parents garage while they were in vacation i hung plastic around the walls and set up a fan blowing out to create a negative pressure (now my parents are very perfectionist people and the garage is for parking not for working its insulated and sheet-rocked ands painted white) notice the truck in the sig is jet black and that i only taped off the walls............oh whats that black on the ceiling oh **** lets just say i allmost most my ***

Was wondering the same myself. But was also wondering what the truck cost to begin with... Not many CC W350 in that shape with that few miles .

I was looking at a rusted out one for $5K

Thanks for the kind words. I bought the truck for $3,700. The guy I got it from wanted 5 grand for it but I talked him down. The transmission was acting up really bad but it was only low on fluid. 3 quarts low.
I spent $2,000 in body and paint. The only thing I have planned is I am going to install a 366 spring and bump the timing a little. Other than that I will leave it stock. I will upgrade the torque converter later on down the road. The truck will not see much mileage. Maybe 5K per year? Some years maybe more.
I am installing a new headliner and new carpet. The seats and door panels and dash are perfect. I also need to decide what I want to do about the wheels. I don't know if I want to powdercoat them or just install SS wheel simulators.

Paint the wheels with some SP186 Wheel paint, it looks awesome.

I think VHT makes it, its a nice shiny silver that takes a day to dry but its worth it!! it holds up to the weather too.

He he, we'll remember those words and see how well you stick to your promises...

How are you going to be doing the headliner?

Sure enough, that is a sharp truck. You got lucky on your find. Take good care of her.
