NEW GUY oil leak

I have an oil leak at the front of the engine. I power washed the top of the engine and its still too oily underneath to see were it is coming from. I'm assuming its coming from the front crankshaft seal? I plan on jacking it up ASAP and powerwashing the underside to see if I can find out exactly were it is coming from. Anyone had this same leak? How did you fix it? If it is the front crank seal do I have to drop the crank??? Ouch.

Another common place for a leak is the gasket between the vacuum pump and the gear case.

If it's not where formula said, check the valve cover gaskets too. Mine was soaked until these were replaced. How much fluid do you think you are losing? If it's not making a mess of the ground, or needing to add much on long trips, I wouldn't worry too much. Oil is much cheaper than a rebuild. Maybe in a year or two, you'll be ready for a cam and O-rings, and you can take care of it then.
