I went to get the turbo from the guy today when i got there I looked at the tag it said WH1C and on the exhaust it has 3532214 I cant find that # to see what size housing that is. it came on a wrecked truck he bought don't know anything about it maybe possible upgraded already. He wants 75.00 for If it want help me I will hold out for hx-35. It was a 1994 model he thought it was a 1999 model.

A WH1C is equivalent to an HX-35. They are just put together differently. HX-35 uses a snap ring, H1C/WH1C uses a band clamp. It's a change that Holset made to make the turbo cheaper to build. I would jump on it. It's a better turbo than you have now, and when you get more fuel you can put an HTT Stage III compressor on it easier than on an HX-35.

I hate to keep nagging but I'm going to put the complete WH1C with the 12cm W.G housing. My question is do I need to hook up the waste gate actuator or just leave it off. If I need to hook it were is the best place on the intake side. If I get off work early tomorrow I'm going to put it and my pyro on should I go post or pre turbo for the pyro. What kinda EGT'S should I be trying to achieve when I start turning up fuel. Thanks once again

Excellent choice! Rip the silencer ring out before you put it on so you get the full "jet fighter" effect.

As long as the boost stays under 30 psi you don't need to connect the wastegate actuator to a boost port.

If you're going to tow heavy a lot, set it up so you don't run much over 1,000 degrees empty. That'll give you a nice safe setup you don't have to watch all the time.

If it's a play toy, crank 'er up and have fun! Just don't hold it over 1,200 for very long.

Well today I put on the WH1c turbo man what a difference at low rpms it made. It spools up very quick. It took a little prying on the pipe but it will fit and did not hit the firewall maybe 1/16 in between. Far as my EGT'S 300-600 is about the best I could get. So I have my base line set so tomorrow I will give her more fuel and see what happens. But just with the turbo this was definitely a big improvement. Thanks for all the advice and I'm always open for suggestions Thanks once again ( took out the silencer ring to sounds great straight piped)

Yeah, an HX-35/WH1C with a 12 cm housing makes a huge difference in how the truck drives. Turbo sounds sweet, doesn't it? I really love how you can hear the turbine through the exhaust at idle.
