New euro Headlight

Just some picture of the hella Euro headlight with H4 bulb (cenrter) compared to silverstar left. far right has hella on left and then silverstar on right in same picture. better cutoff of light on the hella, the silverstar has more or a round spot of light in the center.

What was mounted where in the truck, when? Looks like the SS is on the passenger side and Hella on the driver's side. Would that be correct? Just unplugged for comparo purposes?

Yes that is correct, just stood in front of the other lense to show pattern. Lights replace the standard sealed beam with the european design, not DOT approved, they have different regulations on where light is allowed to shine. One note is that you need to modify the bucket for the headlight by making the hole where the plug is more round. bought them at: http://www.rallylights.com/hella/headlamps.asp

Better pattern and better bulb selection. With relays installed the siverstar sealed beams do not last that long get 6 months to a year out of them. I have not been on the highway at night yet to see improvement.

You should try installing/reinstalling both in pairs, back the truck up about 50 yards and then take your pictures. Putting the cooler in the middle of the door would also help.
