I installed a new #366 spring and it seems to fuel a lot less. I have turned the pump to the point just below run away but, it doesnt put out near the fuel it used to. Although the extra rpm is great.
Is this me or is it time for more injector?

 

I think its you . sounds like you need a piston lift pump (info in sticky) and grind your fuel pin and shave the washer. Maybe bump the timing. read the sticky! your defueling on the top end because you dont have enough fuel to go to full rpm. i think you should grind your fuel pin and shave the washer. this helps on the top end. hope this helps,, brandon

 

did you have to adjust the idle at all after the spring install?

 

Could the throttle shaft indexing be off and not actually be giving you full throttle. When I did mine with the setting never touched it went from very little smoke to so much I could not see behind me. Also egt's went from 1200F to 1500F or more and then I turned the pump down.

 

^^^throttle shaft index might be off. Check to make sure you are getting full travel out the throttle linkage. The spring does not affect fueling at all only RPM. unless if you accidentally moved the fuel screw when you were in there there should not have been an affect on fueling.

 

Throttle shaft indexing or you didn't put the fuel screw back the way it was.
