Mystery part? WHat is it for? 1991.5

I'm messin with a/c and radiator hoses today.

under the coolant recovery tank, there is something with a swing clamp holding it in place. What the heck is it?

Anyone know if I can get a few replacement plastic rivets which hold that dang fender liner in place? That thing was broken loose to and pushed over the radiator hose... then it rubbed a hole in the a/c hose...

That should be where the jack goes.

That would be the poor excuse for a jack the factory supplies.
There should be a jack handle attached to the fender just below the hood too.

You should be able to get the push in fasteners in the HELP section at your Auto Parts.

yup.. that is one of the worst places I have ever seen a company put a jack.. if you ever tried to get it out.. it is very very hard to get under the bottle, especially on intercooled trucks..

I bought one like this.. bottle jack, and keep it behind the rear seat.

works very well..
