My son totaled his WRX today!
He had taken it to the tuner who found the timing had been retarded by the knock sensor. When we was driving home with his buddy he was taking a flyover too fast, and when it came into boost in third (maybe 80 MPH?) it blew all four tires loose and he teed the wall. They are both basically OK but he is pretty bummed. All the officers there say they have no idea what kept them from going over the edge (an 84' drop according to the radar gun!) but we know. God is kind to fools! He sure has been to me!
Glad to hear every one is ok. Those cars have a lot of power and you can get into trouble in a hurry. That really sucks it got wrecked. If memory serves he has not had it very long. But at the end of a situation like this you realize that the car is just that.... A car. Thats why we all pay insurance. All that matters is every one is safe and unharmed. The Good Lord was watching out for you guys today.

Glad he's alright. I seem to recall you saying it made big power. I had an earlier version of that car, a 91 or 92, and that thing was fast but relatively safe w. AWD. I never did go 80mph on an overpass though...
On a motorbike, sure. Car, no.
Maybe you can talk him in to getting a truck now?

Definatly not one of the 400whp diesel rabbits though.
Those diesel rabbits have alot of mods available and can make serious power for such a small diesel.
Glad the boys are ok too. I remember the good old days when I felt invincable like them. LOL
