My new work pig
Fixing up and trading my old d250
For a w350 chassis cab
158” wheel base with a 10’ flat deck, and it had a regular width dually axle swapped in recently. Also comes with a pto
Will be building a removable dump box for the flat deck and using this truck to haul compost, soil and woodchip, with the occasional load of loaded grape bins during harvest season.
Pretty excited to be back in a 4x4, not looking forwards to the ride!

Compressor does not come with the truck
Hey thrashing, good eyes. The gold truck is in Keremeos, blue truck where I live in the Okanagan Falls.

both are good looking trucks! Funny thing about the 4X4 ride...the day I brought Uncle Jim's truck home, I thought how much better it rode than all the 1/2 tons I had over the years.

2wd 3/4 tons are a far better ride than the 4wd’s, my frst cummins was 4x4 and it rode like a tank! Dont doubt the 1/2 tons were a worse ride though, probably use the same length leaf springs used in the 3/4 tons, but with less weight to flex them. Seems the length of the leaf pack really determines the ride, more so than how many leaves in the pack.
Yea, this is definitely a rare set up, cant find any pictures or info online of another w350 c&c, aside from one that was up for auction in the states. Am pretty excited to have found it!

I think the longer wheel base helps with the "re-bound" of the 4wd....I think my crewcab rides smoother then the reg cab 1st gen's because of this. And now that freight train mentions it I can't recall ever seeing a 4wd cab and chassis before.

You darn Canadians get all the nice stuff! Maybe up in Northern part of North America 4x4 versions were move common due to the amount of snow you guys get. Mopowa I believe you are correct. There was a black single cab 4x4 W350 with a rollback or hodges style bed on flebay not so long ago. They have to be extremely rare as I like most of you pay attention to such things and these two might be the only two I recall ever seeing. Hell at this point I would take a 2wd.

I call that a very good trade.
I like the mirrors. Be cool to have a PTO winch hanging off the front (or back for that matter, like at the headache rack like some old Power Wagons).
My truck isn't a ton but 750+lbs in the helps with ride quality.
I dream of some day having a W400...

Was thinking the same thing about the winch!
Not trading straight across, will be giving him cash on top of the trade. His truck is worth far more than mine, and is in better condition, less km’s

My thoughts exactly farmboy! The extra space will most definitely be put to good use. Dirt, compost, firewood, woodchip, whatever I can find really. Thinking airbags may be a worthy investment down the road...
