Question '93 Caliper/Pads/ What are these Rubberbands for?

Kind of oval shaped rubber bands came with the brake parts kit and the calipers. We didn't pull any out. What are they? Something for another year?

Doesn't sound familiar to me. About what size? Sometimes there's a piston size "gasket" type cushion thing I assume is for chatter or something.

Never seen or used those things. I assume a '93 would be the same as my '92 as far as brakes go. Maybe for multiple applications? A bonus to use to hang the caliper while you work?

I don't know. I am at a stand still due to weather. Swapped out the calipers and did new pads. Passenger side wheel bearings are noisy.

Passenger side pads were worn down further than the driver side. Not hanging up, (it sat for a week so they probably backed off.) Driver's side was dragging a bunch. Weather permitting next Saturday could be wheel bearing day. I'll be taking the old calipers back today and get bearings and seals.

I think you use those to get your helpers attention when you need a replacement refreshment or tool

That pic you posted is not for the calipers on a 1st Gen dana 60 axle. That would be for a 2wd, Dana 44 or smaller front disc/caliper set-up.
