Question Is my lift pump dieing?

I put in a new lift pump about 4 months ago and I haven't had any problems since. I realize that with my pump turned up (moderately, nothing maxed out...yet ) the stock LP isn't going to keep up with the fuel demand. Anyways I was working on the truck and I decided to see how the LP's priming lever was working. I feel nothing, no pressure as if no fuel is being pushed. Is my LP dieing or dead? The last thing I need is my VE crapping out because it was starved of fuel.

I plan on going to the piston style pump and not having to worry about sufficient fuel pressure.

try bumping the starter (the lift pump may be on the top of the cam lobe), then try the lift pump again. if your truck is like mine, you may have to temporarily disconnect wire to the fuel shutoff solenoid to crank but not start.

You might not of had the rod for the fuel pump resting on a cam lobe so it wouldn't work unless it was. Next time you try it and it doesn't feel right bump the starter and then try again
