My Introduction
Hello first gen owners of DTR, I haven't formally introduced myself and I think that it's about time. I'll start off with how I discovered these priceless vehicles, I grew up on my family farm located in Wisconsin and my father needed a good work truck. So back in the very early 2000's he brought home a 1993 W250 5 speed truck (Not a LE.)
Here is the only picture of it that I can find:
Being that I was very young I thought that it was the coolest truck ever. My father used that truck for absolutely everything on and off of the farm, and the truck was able to do all of it. Now, if we fast forward a decade or so my oldest brother (who I bought the truck from,) comes to visit us in his new truck. I was asking about it because I liked the one my father had and he told me how much he paid for his truck. I realized that I could afford one so the convincing, and the hunt for a truck began. After 2 months I convinced my parents to let me take out a loan so I could purchase a truck. I also convinced my older brother to sell me his so now I have a 1991.5 (Intercooled) D250 3 speed automatic, that is the exact same color as my dads (but isn't missing paint.) When I bought it off of my brother he had already put in the 3200 rpm spring DennyT stage 2 fuel pin and the 5in stack.
Pics:
Thanks to Frostyman I have decided that in the future (not 100% sure when as I need the money first) I'm going to put 33x12.5-20 tires and 20x9 rims on it. I also believe the fact that I'm only 16 years old makes me the youngest owner of a first gen.

Thanks NJTman, I really like the color as well. I'll be sure to post some pics of my fathers truck if I can find more of them!

16 Huh? I was 16 once, but that was in another life. I suggest doing a lot of reading here, you will learn a lot. Also, respect your elders, I think that would include everyone here. Welcome to the cummins knowledge pit...Mark

Welcome noob (Sorry). Nice pickup. I just had to look at my stats to find out when I joined and found out that it was in 2004. I would have been 24 so I guess I got a late start compared to you.
Once piece of advice dont talk smack unless you can back it up. That drives me crazy. (I probably did this back in the day. Sorry) I actually lost a motor trying to back up what I said. Lessons learned.
Dont start a 1000hp (14mm pump) thread unless your sitting at 486hp on fuel only and have 3 stages of spray. (Or you work for DPM and have free parts, labor, etc, Sands)
Dont start a 500hp (12mm pump) unless your sitting at 400+hp on fuel only. There have been enough of those threads already and the owners just give up in less than a year and might be close to 300hp. Learn how to use the search function. At least try it before starting a new thread.
I really dont know what I am talking about so feel free to ask others.
Oh cheers and welcome to the asylum.

I think that I know who you are Stomp, you used to have the highest horsepower VE pumped cummins before Jason Sands (JQMile) Started his project "Rust Bucket" right? Thanks for all the advice you gave me, it's much appreciated. I may be young but I don't care for boasting, rare right?

Thanks Oliver, I was looking around on this site for a month or so before I made my account. Also I read the Diesel Power magazine and the edition where Jason Sands truck made 972 hp was my personal favorite.
