My heat exchanger is trashed. Dodge says "Nope"

So, I posted a thread with my full story in the HELP! forum. I'm just wondering here, since I have completely trashed heat exchanger that mixed coolant and water into my trans fluid and visaversa. So, my mechanic while I'm in the Prescott AZ area has bypassed it and eft me with just the little tragic cooler on the radiator. So, dealer says "We don't make that anymore" and ther machnaic cannot find one for us. So, I'm wondering after reading posts here which say "Removed it! Bad Overheating!" (which is EXACTLY the results I'm having)...What the heck can I do? Is ther some aftermarket heat exchanger? Or something that can replace the function of the heat exchanger? Would you just add a BIG aftermarket cooler? I tow a 30FT. 5'ER a LOT. Sigh, I'm stuck in a strange town with a truck that boils trans fluid if I go uphill too much (not even towing).

I do not know how many BTU’s the stock cooler is but I have seen them used on HVAC equipment, hydraulics, air compressors, and some big allison transmissions. Check for surplus machinery, HVAC and maybe even shipboard equipment.
If I were to need one I would probably adapt one of these industrial units, there are other sizes also.

This should be easy to adapt to the oil and coolant lines.
Just a thought.

Yikes!

The Grainger thing is cool, but pretty darn expensive. I could install a couple Haydn fanned coolers for that price. Hmmm...One thing I wonder is if they still make the part under different numbers for a second Gen and it would be usable?

But the big question is, how would BIG trans cooler (the heavy duty model from Hayden or whoever) compare to this Heat Exchanger in ability to keep my trans cool while towing a 5'er in mountains? I'd really love to get out of here.

Is the trans heat exchanger a Dodge or Cummins part? Maybe get a hold of a Cummins place and see if they have any luck getting one.

There are companies that make aftermarket exchangers, I remember the 40' Flexible transit coaches had them to cool the allison transmissions.
I know they are expensive but how much were they from Dodge?
Class A motorhomes also might use them with the pusher diesels.

You should look at Fluidyne's coolers (they have at least two). Here's a link to one of them on Summit (good house to order from).
