More Questions and Help
Thanks for the link Flake!
Thanks for all your help Dave once again. I know what your saying about the winch, and I'd kill for a winch like this one,but not on this truck
I'm building a mix between 79 Dodge truck,1 ton axles,4.56s,welded diffs in both ends, not much for front sheetmetal or interior and running 44" Gumbo Mudders so I want the winch for that truck,I'll be pulling the '79 with the CTD so I won't need it on the CTD
Thanks for yalls help,I'm gonna see bout getting some new headlights(need em anyways),dielectric grease, headlight switch and a few other things tomorrow for the truck and then get our buddy up here to help me on the wiring

Id say it could be some ground problems. they will do some reall crazzy stuff we had a bad ground on a tractor one time and the raido turned on the fan and the lights didn't work with out the windsheld wipers or something like that its been a cupple years all i rember is it was the ground and will do goofy stuff.
Hey Jimmy. If you're not familiar with wiring, maybe picking up and ENGINE HARNESS from the local boneyard is an option.
I'm agreeing with Dave all the way here. Sounds like the problems started with a bad ground.
Any circuit with a bad ground will try to find it's ground through another circuit causing that circuit to appear going out but it isn't. The extra load on that circuit will get hot due to the extra amperage being drawn through it and ya'll know what happens to wiring when it's hot. Once that circuit gets hot in the harness and starts to melt the insulation on the wires in the harness, you start getting shorts and cross-circuiting.
You're gonna have to start back at basics and check every wire in the harness underhood.
Clean all the connections and make sure you have "GOOD" grounds. Even add a few if you have to. You need one from the battery to frame. One (or two) frame to cab. and one (or two) battery to block - Preferably directly to starter mounting bolt. These are a GIVEN and MUST HAVES!
I have the factory manual. If you need specific diagrams, email me and I'll scan those diagrams and email them to you as JPEGS.
