Does anyone know if any local parts dealers (discount auto,napa,etc..)carry a manifold to turbo gasket.

 

Piers Diesel Resurch (PDR) told a friend of mine to cleen the manifold and turbo and not use a gasket. I know I know but thats what he said and it has worked great

 

Thanks,I`m going to install my pyrometer,boost guage and possible an hx-35.I`ll give it a try.Whats the worst that can happen.

 

His was leaking with a new gasket.

 

Whether you use a gasket or not, I'd recomend getting the Dremmel tool and cleaning both surfaces. I have found I can reuse my gaskets twice without leaking. After that, they leak.

Dodge wants about $5 for one.

 

I don't know if you have a Cummins distributor near you, but I got mine there for a few bucks.
