Mahle head gasket compared to genuine Cummins

Anyone know if there is any difference between the Mahle head gaskets and the genuine Cummins ones? I saw that Napa and PDD both carry mahle gaskets and not the genuine Cummins ones, anyone know if there is any difference between the two?

Not sure if there's a difference, but I have a mahle on mine, and it's doing fine. The construction of it was nice and well done, I wouldn't hesitate to run another one. Mahle is also a good quality company. Just my $0.02

I din't think Mahle makes their own gaskets - probably repackaged Victor Reinz. If you buy straight from Cummins, you will sometimes get a repackaged Victor Reinz as well. It has been said that an actual genuine Cummins gasket does hold slightly better than the Victor Reinz, but that is only a concern if you are pushing things to the max.

If you head has been O-ringed though, stick with a true, genuine Cummins.
