LP Piston pump PSI--
I figured id ask if this seems normal.
My setup is a Low pressure piston pump, Fleetguard fs1221 filter with fuel heater still there and I have my banjo bolts drilled out to 5/32" holes but i doubt that matters.I hooked up a fuel pressure gauge in the location where the bleeder screw normally is. Im not positive on this but im assuming thats "post fuel filter"?
I got a 15 psi gauge because thats all there was in town today. Well at idle it just about is hitting the backside of the prong that the needle rests on.
Does that seem high or is it just me?
(heres a pic of the gauge i used so you can imagine where it was)

Sounds about right I guess, Those low pressure LP make around 15-18 PSI if I'm not mistaken. In the farther reaches of that gauge when it is off the chart there is no way to really tell how accurate it is. It might not be too accurate to mentally just draw in lines to 20 PSI or whatever and guess from there. I think you're fine. What you really need the gauge for is to see when it gets low...

I figured most of what you guys are saying.
I just am actually impressed that it's that high post filter. I ordered a 30psi gauge online so hopefully it will get here soon.

Richie, you posted that somewhere once and i just read it the other day. It got me wondering. You have some mighty big sticks and im sure thats your draw under load but will that affect the idle PSI?

It should not effect psi at idle. If I am coasting down hill in gear I see as much as 15 psi but that is as high as it gets. I suspect each gauge may read a little different as well as every pump may be more or less. Mine was a brand new case pump.

EDIT-Can someone post a picture of the seal that high fuel pressure can blow out? Id like to take a look at mine.
