lights flicker while Idleing

I just installed a new alternator on my 90 dodge. The lights are still flickering while idleing. Any Ideas??? Also looking for the hard to find vertical flow radiator anyone know where I can get one aftermarket.

They flicker, or get dim for periods of time? In the cold, your intake heater will cycle, and the draw will cause the lights to dim, like a hair drier in your bathroom. Not sure if this is what you are experiencing, but if it is, it's normal. Hope this helps.

We had the same problem on my dads' 89. We ran a ground wire from the voltage regulator to the fender well. I know they are famous for the external regulator not grounding properly, causing problems.

Here's a tip I found useful, buy Mopar voltage regulators. The "good" aftermarket ones always lasted me about 1-2 years if I was lucky. Some lasted a few months. I paid about the same amount of money for a Mopar one as I did an aftermarket one and I'm going on about 2 years with it so far and its good as new still. I still carry an extra in the glovebox though

Use the MOPAR regulator in my "sig" and no more flickering lights.
