Leveling a '92 - ???

What can I do to raise the front end of my truck to be more level with the rear? I rarely carry real heavy loads so leveling should be okay, right? If I could lift it 2" or so I think that would do it.

Thanks

First off, is your truck a 2wd or a 4wd? If it is a 2wd, you will probably notice that the drivers side sags lower than the passenger side. Mine sat real low when I got it. A pair of MOOG heavy duty springs fixed the problem. It now sets level with the rears. If you do a search in this forum for MOOG part numbers, you will find the list that I compiled.

My 4wd sat the same way, about 2" lower it seemed. Skyjacker sells front lifts for 4wd. I would recommend new springs since yours is only 2wd. I actually ended up putting 2" blocks on my front and 1" block on the rear to level it out nicely. Some day, new springs and bushing all around, that should make it ride smoother. Blocks will make the ride a little harsher.

Re:Leveling a '92 - ???

I would like to introduce myself, I looked for a forum section intended for introductions but didn't see one. I have a question regarding the topic in this thread anyway.

My name is Scott Benson. I live in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. I ordered a new D-350 CTD w/DRW's from a local dealer back in 1988 and I've owned it ever since. It has turned out to be one of the best machines I've ever owned.

A few years ago I invested ~$3K in a paint job. I had all of the body molding removed and the entire truck painted aquamarine blue. It turned out beautiful. I'm very proud of my truck.

I too would like to raise the front end a bit. I would like to install the Moog springs that Monty described in this thread but when I attempted to search for the part no. I was unsuccessful. I would appreciate some help in finding out the number(s).

Thank you,
It looks like the older threads have been deleted. I have it written down in my truck, I will post the part number tonight.

I was reading many of the varied topics in this subsection and I stumbled onto the part numbers I was seeking way back on page eighteen (I think).

Moog Coil Spring
Heavy Duty: 7226
Super Heavy Duty: 7226S

Thank you for replying to my original post so quickly.
