LED Taillights?

I'm putting a flatbed...back on my truck. This one came with led lights...is there anything I need to do to make these LED lights work properly? I haven't a clue!

Thanks!😁

Nothing special, just be sure you use an electronic flasher unit. The old school ones flash slowly if at all.

Hmmm, what is an electronic flasher unit? Never heard of them before.

The flasher in the fuse panel should be LED compatible. Two are in the panel, one does the hazards, and one does the turn signals.

As long as you use standard front turn signal bulbs, you should be good to go.

If you change, the front turn signals to LED bulbs, you will have problems with hyperflash. If that is the case, installing resistors will be required.

I just installed all LED bulbs, and went through this.

The truck with normal bulbs has enough draw to make a standard flasher work. LEDs have far less draw and won't make a standard flasher..... flash. It's like when a tun signal burns out and the flasher won't work.
