Leaky injection pump
I noticed yesterday that my VE was leaking a bit. Its not a huge leak but its enough to have a few drops come out and make a mess of everything. I looked into it today and it seems that the leak is coming from the bottom of the pump (area right above the power steering pump). I guess I'm going to have to pull the pump right off of the truck and replace whatever gasket and/or seal is shot. I figure while I have the pump off I might as well do the 3200rpm spring
Is the truck safe to run for the time being or am I risking killing my VE?
Thanks
Lucas

No you're not gonna kill your VE with it leaking. Fuel mileage though you will kill
. I'd use some brake clean or starter fluid to clean it up real good to try to pinpoint exacty where the leak it. Could be throttle shaft, top cover gasket, or that dern o-ring on the back of the pump that is notorious for springing a leak. Get the reseal kit ready for when you pull the pump and get to work!

Ok thanks, I was worried that I'd be flirting with a $1500 repair bill
lol. Is there a part # for the seal kit from a Bosch dealer? I might as well replace all of them while the pump is out.
Thanks
