Leaking injector
Hello all, I am new to the 1st gen. 12 valve cummins so bear with me. I have a 92 D350 LE with #5 injector leaking compression, it is what I think to be a bad copper sealing washer. I removed the #5 injector and the copper sealing washer stayed in the bottom of the hole. Any ideas on the best way to remove this washer?
Thanks Mike |
Long skinny pick, maybe bent s coat hanger into a hook if a tool selection isn't available. Also gun cleaning brushes work well for cleaning carbon in bottom of hole.

You can get a hose small enough and try sucking it out.

Leaking injector
Thanks to every one. I got the lost injector sealing wash out. Use punch just larger than the injector nozzle and taped it with a hammer, it came right out.
Thanks again Mike |
What was the outcome of this? Did you replace the seal and the remaining 5 with it? Did the leak stop after doing so?

All better now
Replaced all 6 injector sealing washers and all sealed up
Thanks again Mike |
