Yes. Signs of a poorly repaired cab or simply a shoddy windshield replacement. In my case, both. Don't even like to think about the damage it's doing to my floors when it rains at night...

Had a similar problem on my rig. Had the windshield resealed at a friend's glass shop and I thought I was in the clear... Lo and behold when it really rained hard it still would leak. Not much but the floor would be wet. About two weeks ago I ordered the cowl fix patch pannel (see tech facts) for the drivers side, the passenger is no longer available from dodge. I changed some of the procedure from what was written from Monty. Instead of using the pannel adheasive and rivets I just used some urathane sealer from a paint shop. I also drilled the rivet holes out bigger as to use my wire feed welder and make the patch a little more permanent. We figured if the cab flexes enough to crack the cowl wouldn't it eventually pull the rivets out? After the patch was welded I took the sealant and hit every seam I could find. It didn't start raining hard untill a couple of days ago and still no leaks. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for now. Jethrro

The cowl cracks are the source of my leak too. My drivers floorboard is wet after a hard rain. I haven't had the time to pull the fender off yet but I can see the crack through the top of the door gap. I have the snap crackle pop dash too.

Mine leaks pretty bad on the drivers side top. I can see the stream of water running down the pillar and puddle on the floor. I guess that's why I didn't have a floor at all when I got the truck. I think I'm just going to silicone around the gasket before I put my moonvisor on.

Good luck with yours,
Michael

Gee, and i thought i was the only one . Sounds like the windsheild is breaking it`s so loud sometimes. Alas it will have to wait till spring...(like the 10,000 other things I need to do).

Yup my dash makes the loud crack noise every so often too. Oh well... she may be a rattletrap but that's what makes her special

The fix is not that hard to do. All it takes is time and not a whole lot of money. If I knew what I know now I'd of done it then. Now it's done and on to bigger and better bombs. Jethrro

hmmm interesting? when is it you people hear this "snap, crackle, pop" sound? i have noticed a similair strange sound that i could not determine the origin of. perhaps it was the dash? i figured it was from my antenna shaking around, but strangly, i only hear it when i first start the car and begin driving. it always goes away within a 1/4 mile of driving.

my window does not leak however, as far as i know. although i still have not driven the car in a serious rain yet.

I usually hear it when I'm backing out of a driveway and my wheels are turned. Or when I hit a bump. Basically whenever the body flexes. Sometimes I'll just be sitting there in the truck and I'll hear it pop randomly.

I did the cowl patch repair last year, no leaks and just about all the noises went away. Try some new cab mounts to cure the rest.

Yup...seems to be that way.
Luckily I have no water leaks there...but the roof??...well that's another story. I think it's the gutters. Gets my seat belt wet.

I've got a leak on the drivers side top corner...got a new window and that wasn't it...looks like the caulking up top. All the caulking on the truck seems to be old and cracked...thinking of running a bead of silicone all around the top if the weather ever lifts for a couple days.
