Lazy twins....
Ok guys, I have had a brand new HT3B sitting in the garage for over 2 years now and need to get the thing on the truck. I am finally getting to a point financially that I can afford to put some money into the beast again. Please help me form a game plan...
Clutch is South Bend Con OFE
NV4500 Tranny
Axles, brakes, and all other moving parts in great shape'
Motor is a 1991 non intercooled 9mm head motor with 61k miles.
I have a head off a 93 that I am planning to take to a local machine shop for 60# valve springs, full service with some porting, and o-ring.
I am currently running a H1C with compressor upgrade and 12cm WG housing (divider drilled)
Here's what I am looking for...
1. pre-made hot and or cold pipes, anyone know a source?
2. Good source for head studs
3. Good source for replacement carpet
Thanks for any help in advance

Talking about that PDR kit . . . .
They use a hot-pipe that I've come to understand is apparently a stock/OEM item on the Cummins "N" series engine. (Someone correct me as needed). It comes with the HX40 size inlet.
It's called the "Cobra-Head", err sumthin . . .

I used it for the simple fact that, from what I've seen, without some thoughtful fabrication using the standard 90* ELL, the hot-pipe assembly has the primary far enough back that some serious adjustment/movement of the firewall is needed. (Others with more first-hand experience there would know best). The Cobra-Head tucks things a little more forward.

Some might suggest the downside might be that the primary's feed-pipe (from the air filter) is up against the oil filter.
Even then, the exhaust down-pipe needs to turn down first thing . . .

Hope this helps.

source automotive was going to make a first gen kit but it hasnt happened yet. i dont know what you could do as far as a hotpipe goes but you could probably do your cool side tubing yourself. the last time i talked to rip he said they picked up a first gen for research and development so we might be getting some cool stuff to hit the market in the near future.
Just talked to Rip, they do have a 1st gen, but they are currently working on exhaust and have not made it to twins yet. He also no longer has a flange for an ht3b. He is looking to see if he has any blank s400 flanges (center cut but no holes drilled. We'll see what I end up with. any other suggestions are very welcome at this point
David, thanks to a little research from you post, the part number for your "cobra head" is 3927862 and my local Cummins dealer has it for $205. However, yours has been modified with a lower flange. The cummins piece just has a smooth pipe section at the bottom, looks like it is supposed to attach to flex exhaust pipe or something. I am currently trying to see if they made a 3" cobrahead

I'm pretty sure the PDR cobra pipe and the Cummins cobra pipe that I've sold in the past are two different pieces. Not saying the PDR piece is not a Cummins part, just not the same as the cast iron Cummins one I've sold.
I'm pretty sure I have pics of some of the steps through my twin turbo build up. For my hotpipe I used 3" schedule 40 weld elbows. A chop saw and a tig machine did the rest
. For the hx40 flange, I bought one from Scheid. For the s400 flange I made one from mild steel. The cold pipe is 4" aluminized exhaust tubing. Everything was bought locally. I did have to buy the 7/8" silicone hose for the oil drain online and most of the clamps online.
I think it's been shown that even the advertised bolt on twin turbo kits for 1st gens are not bolt on.
