KTA 14mm head or Peeee Pump?

Just thinking here, but is the 14mm head stable enough for the street?

Not really...from what Ive heard theyre just not that dependable for daily driving, especially compared to something as widely proven as the p pump....fun however....yes the 14 would be fun.

From what I understand it takes alot of fuel flow thru the pump to help keep it cooled and lubed. There are some guys doing neat stuff with em but the jury`s still out till some of em get on the road and start seeing regular use. THIS makes me want to try it real bad but my truck has been pressed into daily driver status till my beater gets new heads gskts.

What if the fuel ran through a cool can before the pump?

So they'll sell a 14mm head and plunger for $256.80?!! Is KTA involved with them, or is this their own deal? Once I recover from buying my new head, I do believe my spare pump will be getting a makeover...

As for the p-pump swap, if it were me I'd just buy a p-pump engine complete and sell the VE engine to regain some of the cost.

The only bad thing about the p-pump is the cost. They are extremely reliable, even when output is increased. I paid 1400 for a brand new(still in the plastic wrapper and box) 887 pump a couple years ago. I paid Industrial injection $550 to increase the output a bit. I then paid the same amount to have it redone buy a shop that did a better job. So I have about $2200 total in mine. It has supplied enough fuel for 739hp(#2 only) and is daily driven at 600hp. It responds better than stock, and has perfect idle and low speed manners. The only thing that has come to my attention recently is that the stock 12 valve lift pump is not able to keep the fuel pressure up when running full rack travel and 150hp or larger injectors. I can draw it down to about 14-15psi. Not an expensive issue, but something to be aware of.

Wow! That makes my engine seem like a Briggs and Stratton
