killer timing bolt

killer timing bolt

3 weeks ago i put a new engine (used ) in my sons friend 91 we had a doner truck so we intercooled the 91 (core support and all) all went real smooth. engine ran like a top till yesterday. one of the gear housing bolts fell into the cam gear, and all H, E ,double tooth picks let go!!!! anyone have a spare housing?

I got it up and going tonight, only damage was the case, gears were fine. its a lot of work pulling the cam and everything else to boot .about 9 hrs worth of wrenching. ill never work on the front of one with out pulling the cover to check the pin or locktite the bolts again

Glad to hear you got it up and goin. I hate learning the hard way, but like you said you'll never do it agian.
