What year model trucks have the kdp? I couldn't find this info by searching. dodgediesel.org seems to imply that they started using the pump with the kdp in 96. My truck is a 92, do I need to worry? I also want to say that I really appreciate all the help Iv'e gotten on this forum,it has saved me alot of time,money,and aggrivation. Thanks guys.

 

All 12v 89-98 and some first to second year 24v. engines still have the KDP problem. However, on the 1st gens, there have been more failures with the 10mm bolt just above the KDP backing out and going thru the cam gear. Best thing to do is while you are in there fixing the kdp, torque all the inner gear housing bolts that way you know.
