jim lane how would you go about this? Wiring

Jim i just did you headlight realys only to find out they probably wont work on my truck, My truck is a 93 d250 4x4 canadian truck so it has day time running lights how would i go about making them work? and can i remove the factory headlight wiring from the harness now?

I also was wondering how you would go about cleaning up factory wiring harness especially on the drivers side wheel well where there is just a mess of wiring and the fuseable links. I can stand looking at it and have had the harness out now 3 times trying to tide it up and make it look nice and organized.

You are the wiring master And any help would be great.

if they won't work on your truck why would you remove the factory stuff? in order to make the daytime running lights work you would most likely have to cut the high and low beam wires to the daytime running light module and hook them to the headlights. kind of went through that on the last page of Jim's headlight relay diy thread.

Crazzy, did you ever try that last iteration on the headlight relay thread?

i have not yet. i have been thinking about how to do what i want without cutting things. also kind of been over thinking things. i think i might have even figured out a way to turn the low beams on while the highs are on without a diode or 3rd relay but it won't work with daytime running lights. to have daytime running lights you would need the 3rd relay or diode to turn the low beams on while the highs are on.
