HAs anyone heard from AJ? I still haven't heard from my friends in Ocala or Clearwater? Ocala seems to have been hit fairly hard with wind and rain.

I finally called my friend who lives in Clearwater. They are fine with no damage other than the power being out. He was changing the oil in his generator. I told him it would be easier if he turned it off first.

Still waiting to hear from friend in Ocala.

We made it through with minimal damage. Power went out about 10 PM last night and we just got it back about 7:45 PM todayI couldn't get the generator out until about 6 AM this morning and the wind was still ripping hard. I've been through a good deal of hurricanes in my 42 years here but this one was by far the worst. Not so much for it's strength but the duration was unreal.

We have some minor roof damage, a few trees down by the lake, and major damage and limb loss to my two beautiful trees in the side yard. Thankfully the two huge pine trees on the side of my house are still standing, they worry me though because they would destroy my house.

All my kids made it through ok, no one is hurt so we are thankful. Already started clean up and tomorrow it will continue.

Thank you all for your support.

My girlfriends son made it through ok in Ocala also but they did get hit pretty hard. Power and internet service has been down all over, just depends on where you are.

Thanks guys!

Glad to hear you're okay. My buddy is fine as well as his family. Not sure about his Key West home, but his Jupiter home was grazed with some downed trees, broken screens, but no major damage.

Appreciate the keeping us posted on your well being.....

I finally heard from my friends in Ocala. They are fine with no damage. Some flooding next door. Their power was off from 12:30 am on Sunday until 7 PM on Monday.

I'm glad AJ and his are OK too.
