Twin's Question

I am going to use a divided ex. housing on the primary. Is it ok to use an open flange on the hot pipe?
Pro's / Con's?

HT3B

I am thinking about making the plate divided, and cutting a recess for the 3" hot pipe.

It will be a 3/4 plate, and I want to blend/ port the transition.

Does that make sense?

ok. I hadn't run across a 27 yet. The 26's are open. It should work good with alot of fuel. I'm running a 26 right now and it works well.

big truck junk yards. They are common on older cummins engines.

no the 8.9 had a much smaller turbo. Look for a NT-855 based engine like a big cam series engine or for the newer turrbo a N-14.

Mine is from an International Transtar. Big-Cam 350.

I have a 32 housing too, I am going to try the 27 first, though.

I have seen some guys running the 32.

This is for the '89.

See which one you can spool better and run it.
