You can get the headlight switch pigtail from most auto parts stores.

I put a relay on the headlights...I was able to take a shortcut finding the wire without removing headlight switch. I'm going to do the running lamps on a relay or toggle switch same way, just reaching up finding that BK/YL 18ga wire and splicing it in.

Saves some time.
