Does anyone have any pointers on installing a 92 cross flow rad in my 90 truck?

 

On my sons '90 we picked up a '93 core support, grill, condenser, etc and it was all bolt in project.

 

with a little fab work its not that hard to do. you should find a tstat housing , but the best way is to get all the parts and make it look factory

 

The core supports are tough to find, they don't make em anymore...not even aftermarket that I could find. You can modify, like said... or if yours is no good, you can modify a gasser support.

2 little perches need to be welded in for the bottom radiator pins. And some trimming IIRC.

Thanks guys, ive got the rad, shroud, thermostat housing, cummins thermostat, rad support, inner-cooler/piping/hoses and killer dowl pin kit so i can do it all in one shot. Just have to buy new 92 rad hoses and thermostatic fan clutch, i was just curious to see if there was anything i was over looking.

Can anyone recommend a certain type of fan clutch?

 

We used the stock unit, have fun this will a nice project!
