Sometimes my pump pours diesel and sometimes it doesn't leak at all any ideas comes from the back and leaks off the bottom middle of the pump

Mine was the cast iron head on the back of the pump where the fuel lines are mine wouldn't leak until the pump got warm

The cover on the back side of the KSB solenoid is a frequent leak source. Simple fix (2 torx screws removes cover) after pump removal. Be sure to use a diesel rated o-ring. The last one I changed was green and cost less than $2.
