If it dont rains it pours!

Besides getting sick with something and having to miss work because of it, then coming home because of stated sickness you find out you cant shift your truck, now I cant open my driver side door from the outside! We need a good crying smiley What can I do to fix the situation? I straightened the door a while back and it has slowly gone to the point of not opening from the outside. The mechanisms work but maybe there is another bushing that needs to be replaced? Or is there some sort of adjustment?

Thanks again!

Jon

There is an adjustment, it's an allen head bolt that you can access through a curved slot right near the latch.

It's also possible that the linkage rod has fallen off, there are plastic clips that hold the linkage together and they get brittle and fall off. Check that adjustment first though, since the problem got worse over time it may have just slipped. Plus you don't have to rip the door apart.
