Thanks

I just installed an Isspro tach. Very nice unit and not hard to hook up. My 89 motor had to use the magnets on the balancer at 180* apart, but other then that it was mostly painless.

The original tachs are not being reproduced. You would need to find and original.

There was not a factory tach for a 91.5 only 93 and 93 had the factory tach wiring.

I believe the wiring was standard on '92 and '93 models, but there are 1st Gens from all years with the wiring. I think it was extra from the dealer in the earlier years though.

Ebay/craigslist etc. And the classifieds here and other sites. I think your most valuable tool will be patience! Folks with factory tachs are going to want to hang on to them, seeing as how they're not being made anymore.

There is nothing for the tach to get its signal from because the earlier trucks don't have a cps sensor. You would need a lot more than just the wiring from a 92 or 93.

You may also need the pcm from a 93 but I am not sure someone who knows better than me will chime in. Good luck.
