I need a clean windshield
Nano wax is an extremely easy and effective way to wax vehicles. It is made by Eagle One. Here is the link.

I have used lacquer-thinner, when all else had failed, to get rid of haze.
The ultra-fine steel-wool, in combination with the lacquer-thinner, will get rid of really bad film/haze.
The point made about using brass-wool, instead of steel, is good advice, as minute particles of steel, shed off on paint, will make rust stains when they get wet.
I am also a firm believer in RAIN-X.

Invisible Glass
My '07 was transported down from Idaho and arrived with waterspots that wouldn't budge. I bought Invisible Glass glass cleaner and along with a microfiber cloth cleaned 'em right up. It's expensive@$5.00 a can but works well.
Get it clean with one of the soap/plastic brillo pads, then Rain-X it.
Rain-X slicks up the windshield so you don't even have to use the wipers - the rain runs off. Well, that's the same as a polish. The first couple of buffing passes, you'll wonder where all the black is coming from.
