Thanks guys :D. David, get to work on your pump!

Other Dave (wannadiesel)- I put the videos in one thread so you can just take the thread, and put it in the sticky or whatever. plain and simple.

I wouldn't have been able to do these videos if it weren't for all you guys as well, some of the old members that aren't on anymore, The sticky etc..., I started somewhere too, My dad and I have been going to diesel meets for the last few years with the PA/MD guys and i've been carefully watching "Wannadiesel" under the hood of everyone's trucks, along with Free89W350,archer39 etc. etc.... and I've always wanted to do these videos to help others out on the forum and I finally have the knowledge too.

Hey Brandon, great job on the videos and I gotta say it's a great idea to help out everybody on the site for doing their own work. Thanks from a fellow dieselhead.

Brandon,

First thing is that the plastic cap was already off. Makes me think someone was already in there. Fuel pin seemed to be near the postion you describe when I took it out. I cleaned and inspected it. Rotated it 90 anyway. Star wheel I could only move about 4 clicks otherwise it seemed like I was going to damage the teeth on the wheel. Couldn't get it to really go either way.

Ran the truck and the turbo boost seemed to only go to 17 instead of the 19 that I had before I started. I put it back to it's original position. First time in took about an hour thinking about the pin and trying to adjust the starwheel. Second time in and out took 5 minutes. I know the pump a lot better now. Seen a starwheel that tough before?

With the Banks stuff on your truck it's not surprising that it's been messed with. The instructions included with the Banks power packs told what to do in the AFC to get more power, so whoever did the Banks install was probably in there already.

You can't just rotate the pin 90 degrees, you really have to look at it and determine which way it needs to be installed. When you look at it again you will notice that the tapered part is not centered on the pin. You want to install it with the deep side facing forward.

Thanks Wannadiesel. The pin has a little lip on the bottom that sticks out farther on one side than the other. You want the lip facing the radiator from what I understand. Correct?

good work Brandon.

Yes, you want the deepest cut on the pin facing (forward/radiator)

That's the way it was set. Must have already been turned. Guess the Dennyt pin is next.
