Hi,
I have a 91 with 271K miles on it. I have talked to the two previous owners and they tell me the transmission has never been overhauled.
I purchased it as a rebuilder. It had been laid over on its side.
I had to change the cab. While I had the cab off, I noticed some tell tale signs that the transmission had been R&R.
I can't locate those guys to find out if the flex plate might have been replaced.
Is it possible to tell if the flex plate has been upgraded by looking at it from the bottom?
