how much is normal?

how much is normal?

how much blow-by should be coming out of the engine breather?
should i fell air blowing out when engine is idling? if their is an excessive amount what would cause this?

Mine has a haze at idle out of the tube. If its puking oil out then you have to much. It will drip alittle. Every diesel engine I have has a little wisp coming out.

Combustion Gasses entering the crankcase. I would say a small amount is pretty normal. Have you ever noticed the amount of blow-by on a pulling tractor? The high boost pressures they are running create a ton of blow-by.
