How much actual lift from old saggy leafs to 3 inch leafs?

Ok so I was thinking a set of 3 inch lift springs would be perfect to level out the front of my truck....Than I saw pictures of rswoyer's truck with 4 inch springs in the front and 33's....Really high!! Too high for what I am going for on my truck.

I only want to lift the front of my truck 3 inch's to match the rear, and am afraid that 3 inch springs would be more like 6 inch springs compared to my old saggy leafs.

Anyone have any suggestions, or experience?

This is what I am working with...

ps. the truck only looks level in that pictures because the driveway is on an angle ;)

Thanks for any help

Cheers!

I installed a set of 2" skyjacker last fall. It raised the front a total of 3".

Here is an old pic.

Excellent! Thanks Philip, I think i'll get alcan to build me a set of three inch lift springs. Probably will be 4 inch's of lift and settle down to 3 down the road.

Cheers

I absolutely love the look of your truck with tires that size and the fenders trimmed.

If you need another inch or two (and I've seen some of your welding skills) you can make drop hangers for the front and longer shackles. I'd say 1-2" springs and make hangers if need be/if it settles out too much. Just what I would do, not that it's right or wrong.

Philip do you happen to have the skyjacker # of the springs you used? I want mine to sit that level!

And what rims are you wearing? They look good!

Thanks Rick!

Very true Schamran, suppose I could just fab new hangers and shackles if I needed.
Thanks for the help guys

FT I ordered mine from a local speed shop. They didn't have any part number stickers on them when they came in. Just skyjacker stickers is all.

Right now the truck is about 2" down in the rear. I'll cure that in a while with a kelderman air ride.

Those rims are an old set of American Racing rims. I think the number was an 086 model. I have had them on 2 different trucks covering a 17 year span. :D
