How many miles/tankfull
My truck (1992, 250, club cab, auto) averages between 450 to 520 before I fill it up. I dont know if my low fuel light works because It has never come on. It usually takes 25-26 gallons at fill up. This is driving civilized, if I goof off at all she gets REAL thirsty!! My truck has a stock HX-35, 4" turbo back exhaust, hughes converter, pump turned up a bit.
I have a 92 w350 flatbed auto and I really have only a vague idea of the mileage around 15. My Odometer is dead so I am just guessing by tarveling a known distance and how much fuel it takes. By the way how accurate is the gas gauge in thesae trucks , i know it will vary from truck to truck , but I remember 80's chevys were prone to lie, are these similar?

My low fuel light has been on for a solid day now. I am over 400 miles. I will probably do another 20 miles before I fill up. I'm kinda nervous because the next 20 miles will be in Dallas traffic, and should I run out, I will get fired upon several times by angry motorists.

Just as an FYI, and yes, I realize every truck is different and has their quirks, but with a fuel light on continuously for 40 minutes of freeway driving, and 450 on the odometer, my tank took 24.99 gallons to fill at that point, so do the math. 5 gallons left at 18 (average for all here, it seems)mpg, you may be OK.
how long of driving in Dallas traffic you are doing, so don't chance it!!
Well guys, I drive 110 miles a day round trip to work, 64 miles highway, about 70-75 mph, And the rest, low speed, and hauling stuff around the job site,,, Typically i get 550 miles on 23-24 gallons,,,,, My skinny pedal is no stranger to the floor!
