How do i tell what rear end i have

The D80 bolts in for the most part.


KD93, I know I won't run one in anything I own.

7Horn, the pinion is an 1 3/4 where the bearing rides but not where the splines are thats only about an inch or so.

I'm with you on that! I'm on my 2nd and looking for another, But under your advice I'm going with the 80 even know My 72 is gonna be in the bed of my truck this weekend (I'll save it for another project).

Yeah I tore up the one in my truck, the old man tore his up, and my buddy is currently looking for a 14b before his goes bang.

i got to change the rear end oil because it hasent been done since i baught the truck. what oil would you suggest and if synthetic is the way to go how do, i if neccasary flush it out thanks.

Are the '70's really that weak? Well, the more likely scenario is that I'm just not making enough power to worry about it.
