I'd hazard to guess a Dana 60 w. 3.54's. There should be a sticker under the hood that has the specs, right where the latch is. It may also be stamped/cast into the rear end housing.

i can just make out a 3 and a 5 so 3.54's was a good guess. is the limited slip rare or did most trucks come with it.

Commonly referred to as a Dana 70. Nice! You'll have a hard time destroying that bad boy. I'm no expert, but I think us 'D' truck owners have the LSD, the 'W's have a full locker.
Actually, that may have come off a 350, I didn't think they put 70's on 250's stock. Not sure on that, hopefully someone will clarify.

Not that uncommon of an option. No full lockers were availible from dodge as an option as far as I know. Power Lock or just an one tire fire.

A d70 is actually pretty easy to tear up.

Some specs and info for ya.

Ring gear measures 10.5".
3.5" diameter axle tube.
Inner axle shaft spline counts are 23, 32, and 35
Pinion shaft diameter: 1.75"
Pinion shaft splines: 10 and 29
Gear ratios: 3.07:1 - 7.17:1
Axle Shaft diameter
1.50” Rear (35 Spline)
Axle spline diameter
1.50” Rear (35 Spline)
1480 Universal Joint (Front axle)

All Dana 70 rear axles are full floating. The Dana 70 rear axle was first used in the Dodge W300 in 1957. The Dana 70 started out using 10 spline pinions and 23 spline axle shafts. The later, more current, Dana 70 axles use 29 spline pinions and 32 or 35 spline axle shafts. Dana offered two different limited slip differentials with the Dana 70, the "Power-Lok" and the "Trac-Lok."
