Hood down flush

I can't get the hood down flush with the fenders on the 92. No ajustment in the latch or the latch strike. The 93 is fine , so I measured the latch strike and there different by a half inch, thats about what I need. Any one have a shorter 1 can buy? Thats only the second thing I have found different between the 92 & 93 so far. 93 measures 1-1/8 from the sheet metal of the hood to the outer edge, 92 measures 1-11/16
I know it not a big deal but it bugs me. Oh and they havn't been wrecked.

On both sides of the radiator support top are 2 rubber bumpers on a screw. Those are the adjusters for the height. They take a surprising amount fo force to turn

I have lower them, the hood will rock side to side with the hood latched. Its the latch strike that is holding it up. I don't see any other way of adjustment to lower it. Am I missing something? The back of the hood at the hinges line up with the fenders.
How tall or what does your latch strike measure?
