Help: What is this sensor?

See attached

left side of engine below fuel filter

Hopefully something I can order.
In all of the pump removal tutorials they say to remove the top 2, and bottom bolt from the pump support bracket, and rotate it backwards, but don't mention to be careful not to shear off the sensor sticking out.
I tried to remove what's left, and it appears to be a 1-1/16 but it didn't budge so I left it alone for now.
Thanks
-mickey

Thanks Oliver.
So I can run the engine without it, but I'll get a low oil pressure warning, or no pressure on my gauge?
How do you get it off?

I don't know the size but there's a good chance it could be metric, did you try that for a better fit?

Maybe running it to warm up temp may help free it us some.

There is actually a special socket for that and it's not very expensive

And when I ordered the switch conveniently is this suggested option
https://www.napaonline.com/en/p/BK_7...670&ir=1&tps=4
Chrome vanadium socket removes 2 3/4" deep oil pressure switches requiring 1 1/16" hex. Can be used with 3/8" or 1 1/8" drive wrenches. Length 3 1/4"

This socket is narrower, and longer than the 1 1/16 impact socket I have so I'll get this, and the switch, both in stock at the local Napa today, and hopefully put it all back together.

Thanks everyone for the help and quick replies
