Help!! No Brakes!!

Hey guys i need help and i know you can do it, I have no brakes on this truck. 1991 dodge d250 2wd standard cab long bed. i have put three masters on this truck, all three leaking out of the back. finally got a good one i have blocked the flex lines and i have solid pedal, i pull the rear and i have a sinking pedal. tried same at the calipers all good. it only sinks with the rear unblocked now, i have bled the heck out of these things, master, abs rr lr fr fl. i still have a sinking pedal. even if i pump em up i get spongy pedal then sink!! new pads up front new shoes new wheel cylinders calipers are in good shape no leaking return good... i have 5 of these $&#* dodge trucks pre abs and i can go through the bleed once and have rock solid pedal. am i missing something in the bleed?? do i need to block the rears after the abs then bleed the abs block? im flippin lost here and i know you guys will have the answer... i only get one day off a week that i can work on this pig and i want to drive the blasted thing!!!!! any info would be great thank you so much!!!

does the rubber line in the back have a bad spot where the brake fluid can bubble up/bulge the line? also i think you bleed the abs first and then the rear both sides, but it sounds like you did that already. i dont know if vacuum will be another source of your problem i havent had much to do with that section of brakes on my truck. but some one else will chime in.

Im guessing the rwabs valve is bad and when you clamp off the rear flex hose less fluid flows through valve so changing the way it reacts. If you can try bypassing the valve. Mine was bad and with a rebuilt valve from dodge it is 90% better but still does not feel even close to what my friends truck with out rwabs does.

I've got the same trouble and will disconnect the RWAL valve and plumb the brake line direct to the hose to the rear wheels. I AM NOT TELLING YOU TO DO THIS AS YOU WILL NOT HAVE ANTI LOCK BRAKES IN THE REAR,but I suspect the problems will disappear. Right now I have a truck that works on the lower half of the pedal. If you stab it the pedal sinks down to a spot and more than normal effort is required to stop( the pedal is stiffer). But it does stop well at that point. I notice if I brake the abs & brake lights come on, and if I just touch the pedal while not braking the lights will go away till the next braking effort.
In my related post, someone also suggested taking out the abs sensor in the top of the differential and cleaning what may be some metal filings off of it as they will affect the sensor's ability to sense the tone ring. This is pretty easy to do and may help, so i would try that first, it doesn't hurt.

thats why i like it here, you guys are great. i will try the sensor clean today and bleed the rest of the system and if that doesnt do it i will bypass the abs. i have no problem driving without it. this is the only vehicle i own that has abs and even with the diesel i dont think its even the heaviest truck i have. thanks much for the info i will post my results later this evening... unless it works then i will be out driving!!!

Once you do away with the anti-stop controller on the frame unplug the electric controller that sets behind your glovebox. This will stop the warning dash lights from coming on.
