Need a good 4x4 A518 ASAP!

The one in my diesel ramcharger is toast, only good part left is the case.

If you have a complete case, you're in better shape than I was. Build it up right and don't have any more problems.

Martin- Shop up here wants 6K due to needing ALL new internals, and me wanting to do it with the good stuff. Bearing in OD failed and sent metal throughout.

Trying to at least find a good driving one for a more reasonable build..

 

Same thing happened to me. Tail casting was trash. That bearing is a relatively cheap ball bearing that is expected to take quite a bit of thrust. When they start to spall, they really crash. Still got it completely rebuilt with Goerend converter and decent internals, shift kit, etc. for about 3 grand. Figure I could have done it myself for about 2 if I had the time. 6 grand sounds a bit high.

I just passed up a good 518 for $300. Kicking myself every day.
